Mamizou Futatsuiwa is a bake-danuki from Touhou Project. She first appeared as the Extra Stage boss in Ten Desires and later reappeared as a playable character in Hopeless Masquerade and Urban Legend in Limbo.
Character Biography
Originally living among humans in the city of Sado in Japan's Niigata prefecture, Mamizou was called to Gensokyo by her long-time friend Nue Houjuu in order to assist Byakuren Hijiri and her followers in combating the just recently resurrected Toyosatomimi no Miko, a religious enemy of Byakuren's. By the time Mamizou had arrived in Gensokyo, however, the incident had already been resolved, so she instead took up residence at the Myouren Temple. Mamizou is extremely proud of her Bake-danuki lineage, and makes no effort to hide her tail while transformed because of this. Due to having lived alongside humans in the outside world, she is typically good-natured, but has a mischievous streak and is not above pulling pranks on humans using her transformation powers.
